Go Low to go High

Working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Eph 1:19-23 NKJ)

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phi 2:9-11 NKJ)

Christ has been given the highest position, the highest name, over all powers throughout all eternity.  The devil would have loved that position, unredeemed human nature craves exaltation, and the reason it is so unobtainable is that nobody wants to lay down what they have, sacrifice themselves for the benefit of others or to make themselves of no reputation, Jesus did just that.  So you want to be great in the kingdom of God? Be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests but also for the interests of others.  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, (Phi 2:1-5 NKJ)
