Give Yourself a Break–God Does

well pleasedMark 1:9-13  It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.  And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.  Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”  Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.  And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him.

You may be going through a tough time right now or experiencing a blessing.  It might be a mountaintop experience or a valley.  It might be that you’re not happy with yourself, or others around you are quick to find fault.  Today, I want you to hear that voice from heaven that is speaking to you and saying, “You are My beloved son, daughter in whom I am well pleased.”  Father is happy with His children.  So at the end of this week and like me, it may seem like they run together, take a deep breath and give yourself a break.  It’s okay Dad sees the bigger picture, and he knows. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.  10  (Isa 55:8-10 NLT)
