The average Bible is 9”x6”x1 7/8”, not much really when you consider Leo Tolstoy’s ‘War and Peace’ is in three volumes. But, remember Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and powerful. It is more mysterious than Harry Potter, more romantic and loving than ‘Jane Eyre’ by Charlotte Brontë, contains more historical accounts of God’s dealing with man and it the greatest story of love and self-sacrifice ever told. Too many Christian’s including preachers are happy to regurgitate the basics over and over again. Even though it is cloaked in spirituality, milk is still milk. A baby drinking milk is wonderful; it even looks cute. However, an adult drinking milk from the same bottle they had as a babe is just plain weird. As an adult, we should leave the milk and go on to the meat. God has so much for us, but for some, they are too lazy to chew for themselves. It’s time to go deeper in God.
